Sometimes you don’t realize things until after the fact or until something happens that changes your course or outlook.
I’ll explain. Initially I worked at a place that was fun to go to but as time went on things became less enjoyable. Work slowed, office morale dropped, and it trickled down to the field staff. Nice enjoyable days turned into 350 mile driving days, days that when I got in the car in the morning I knew I was already late for the 5:30 appointment later in the day.
Gradually this trickled into home life.
Simple things became irritating. And I was awful to be around, especially for those most precious to me.
Work became so slow that I was let go due to seniority and that became one of the best days of my life. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All of a sudden my mood was better, I was much more fun to be around (as my wife and kids tell me) and for the first time in awhile I had hope…….
WHAT DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH YOU?
Well have you ever had a nagging pain or discomfort in you knee, ankle, or back? Maybe it’s something that you’ve had in the past or worse, suffering from today.
Sometimes that nagging can start small but over time can keep you from the things you love, like taking a walk along the beach, going shopping downtown with spouse or grandkids, keeps you from the exercise class where you get a sweat and catch up on the latest neighborhood going ons……
Every notice that missing these little things can just turn your day sour, how about if you are missing out on this for weeks or months. What if you are like me and your frustration and disappointment make being around you less enjoyable to the ones you love most.
What if you can’t stand yourself!! The old you that had fun, was active and healthy and the one everyone wanted around.
Maybe you’ve tried stretching to no avail. Maybe you have sought help that was no help at all. Maybe you have run out of maybes.
Please don’t give in and resign to that you have lost. Quite possibly you are just like me in that you need a change or need some help but don’t know the next step.
Someone to believe in you and help show you a different path. Do you know the difference between suffering and pain?
Pain is when you hurt, suffering is when you hurt but you don’t have a clue why.
If this is you and you have read this far, go just a little farther.
I’d like to help whether is to help find answers for you, help steer you in a direction towards the fun you, or simply listen and figure out a plan.
